Overflow IV
August 8–31, 2025
Art House Turku, Main Hall

The summer exhibition of the artists working at Art House Turku, Overflow IV, will be held in Turku for the fourth time. The exhibition is based on a sense of community. The August exhibition has become a much anticipated event for the public, and on the Night of the Arts, it is one of the most popular destinations in the Old Town.

This year, 35 artists will be exhibiting. Art House Turku is a joint effort, idea, and plan by Turku's art and culture creators, which the City of Turku picked up and turned into a lively and interesting art center through collaboration. The Overflow IV exhibition gives visitors a good idea of what kind of contemporary art is being created in the ateliers and studios of Art House Turku, and what discussions the artists are initiating this year. As the name suggests, the works on display are rich and multifaceted, and the techniques vary from recycled graffiti art to paintings, graphics and photographs.

One of the artists will be present at the exhibition every day. The schedule for artist meetings is available at www.taiteentalo.fi.

On the Night of the Arts on August 14, the exhibition will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Solo Exhibition June 2025
Pudasjärvi City Library | Well-being Center Pirtti | June 1–30, 2025

Throughout June, the Pudasjärvi City Library will host Krist Sergeeva’s art exhibition “A Moment of Presence.”
The exhibition features abstract paintings that blend nature-inspired forms, tranquil color palettes, and a meditative atmosphere.
The works are painted with acrylics on raw cotton, creating a uniquely soft texture and delicate mood. Sergeeva’s approach is intuitive and sensory – she creates landscapes that do not depict external reality, but rather inner states and fleeting moments.
The exhibition offers viewers a chance to pause and encounter silence, peace, and beauty through art.
Open during library hours from June 1 to June 30, 2025.
Free entry.
Welcome!

Transcendence | Second Edition
Boomer Gallery, 150 Tooley Street, SE1 2TU, London
 Mar 14 - 19, 2025

Will future generations grasp the depth of our love, the transformations we undergo, and the mysteries we conceal just beneath the surface?
Passion, conflict, love- a potent fusion lies hidden within canvases, photographs, sculptures, and countless other mediums. These emotions, often delicately woven into each piece, form a landscape that is both intensely personal, profoundly universal, and transcendent. Each work serves as a doorway to the artist’s soul, embodying unspoken struggles and quiet triumphs.
The emergence of art and the artist’s inner world has captivated humanity for millennia. What unseen processes lie behind the mystery of creation? This journey of transcendence, from thought to tangible form, mirrors the rhythm of the seasons. Each stage, like spring’s awakening or autumn’s surrender, holds its own energy and emotion, evolving from conception to completion, as complex and layered as life itself.
With this exhibition, we invite you to step into our world, a space where dreams become reality, where thoughts move from mind to wall, from shadow to spotlight, from bud to bloom, and toward ultimate transcendence.

"KOSKETUS" Solo Exhibition 2024
Brinkhall Manor, Turku, Finland

Art is often seen as a reflection of reality, but what if creativity is just another way nature shapes the world? If humans are part of the universal creative process, why shouldn’t human-made forms be considered natural too?

In her artistic practice, Krist explores the deep connection between material and movement, mirroring how nature forms shapes. Her work is a balance between intention and spontaneity, creating ecosystems where randomness and structure coexist.

The series "Touch" focuses on the universal language of abstraction, beyond cultural or national boundaries. Using fluid layers of acrylic on synthetic paper, Krist harnesses gravity and chance to shape compositions that feel like thoughts before they become words. This process invites viewers into a space of reflection and immersion.

Acrylic is not just a medium—it acts as a co-creator, responding to time, temperature, and movement, much like natural patterns emerge through invisible forces.

"RAJATON" Solo Exhibition 2024
Oulanka National Park, Kuusamo, Finland.

Krist Sergeeva's artistic work includes abstract paintings that combine the creative process with documentary photography and professional activity. Her work is a kind of sublimation of a lifestyle saturated with visual impressions from nature and human culture. Sergeeva combines meditation, relaxation, and integration with nature, seeking to reveal the fundamental similarities between man-made objects and natural creations

"LAPLAND ROMANCE" Solo Exhibition 2023
Space81, Turku, Finland

The "Lapland Romance" series is inspired by a journey through the enchanting landscapes of northern Finland. Under the soft glow of the Arctic sky, nature whispered its ancient tales, leaving imprints on the soul. The crisp air, the endless snowy expanses, and the dance of the northern lights created a symphony of emotions—an unspoken dialogue between the heart and the wilderness. Each moment, wrapped in the quiet magic of the North, became a cherished memory, a story woven into the fabric of time.
